Jacob sends me a text from the WinterJam concert: "Mom. Are we on spring break this week?"

Me: "Spring break? Honey, I think the loud music has damaged your brain waves."

Jacob: "Moooooooooom..." (insert your own level of moaning and groaning!)

Happy St. Patrick's Day

 In keeping with the desire to celebrate more traditional holidays this year, we took more time to recognize St. Patrick's Day.

The morning was welcomed with clovers to represent the Trinity, green gum (just because it's green), and one of St. Patrick's famous prayers.

We ended our evening with this documentary about St. Patrick, featuring one of our favorite actors, John Rhys Davies.

Glass and Ice

 Charlie and Jenna tried their hands at glass bending.  Unfortunately, the flame wasn't quite right, so their glass didn't bend.  A bunsen burner would have been more helpful.

Welcome to Narnia, or so it appears.  Rain-turned-ice was quite beautiful!

Pi Day 2021

 It's Pi Day!

March 14, 2021...3-14...3.14...get it?

So, typical for our family, we celebrated with food.  Pie!  Kroger had pies for $3.14.

We all enjoyed apple toffee pie with whipped cream. Yummy!

The Computer

 So, Jacob is building a computer!

Jenna-isms

Jenna was finishing the concluding paragraph for an essay on inventors.

Her last sentence...”Because they had perseverance and courage, many of their inventions succeeded.”

Me:...”and...”(wanting her to add a bit more detail)

Jenna: “...made America great again!”

Soup Dumplings!

Saturday evening, Feb. 27th, Denise, Jenna, and I (Angie) took an online Chinese cooking course. 

We learned how to make soup dumplings!

Our instructor was Chinese, and she taught us from Shanghai.

The dumplings were time consuming, but so delicious!

The guys hung around while we cooked so they could help eat them.

 Jacob:  I'm bored. I think I'll build a computer.  😮

Charlie: I don't really care for the "armadillo" cheesecake.  (He tasted amaretto!) 😆

I found a gray hair the other day.
