North Carolina...finding home

 August 2021 took us to Charlotte, North Carolina in search of our new home.

Jamie changed companies, and we are moving south!

While there, a colleague treated us to dinner at Trump's National Golf Club!

Charlie and Jenna are ready to scope out new school options, including Liberty Prep Academy.

Meanwhile, back in Illinois, Laura relaxed with our friends, the Collins family.

We stayed in a house right on Lake Norman.  All of us enjoyed kayaking.

The kids and I (Angie) checked out the shops at Birkdale Village, and ate at Starbucks for breakfast.

Masks on our flight kept us healthy...insert eyeroll here.

Laura's a junior!

 Laura is a junior in high school!  She's 17 years old, and just as sweet as ever.

Timber Ridge Golf

A hot July day calls for some golf!  The guys golfed Timber Ridge for the first time and loved it.

 Our sweet friends, the Spulers, moved to Moscow, Idaho.  Before they left, we were able to spend some time with their kiddos.

Jacob's new wheels!

 Jacob sold his Dodge Ram pickup truck, and he bought a Mercedes!  He looked and looked for just the right car and finally found it just outside of Chicago.  He and Jamie went to pick it up, and here it is!

Later that same day, the guys were all outside detailing the cars.

St. Jude Dunk Tank 2021

Charlie and Jenna sat in the dunk tank for St. Jude this year.  

Altogether, the dunk tank raised over $1,000.! 

Laura turned 17!

 Grandma and Papa drove down for Laura's birthday weekend.  She turned 17!

We ate a delicious dinner at Timber Ridge Golf Club.  The weather was beautiful, the scenery was, too.

 Charlie's bedroom was being painted, and he did not prefer to smell the slight fumes. So, he pitched a tent and camped out in the piano room!

I know the neighbor kids are comfortable at my house when they ring the doorbell, ask to play with my kids...while eating a popsicle from my freezer. How did he get into my freezer? I love these kids!

Char and I ran our Couch-to-5K together this morning. Well...we at least ran at the same time, just at a slightly different pace. Truth. Oxygen is thinner for taller people.
